Choking Fighting Monsters

Another thing about the symmetry between the last two posts, is that it is exam season again, and I am reading yet another Chuck Palahniuk novel.
Last semester it was Invisible Monsters, and if I remember right, it was my second run through the book. This week it's Lullaby, a little less sexually graphic, but brutal when it comes to a bitter vegetarian ranting about the ways animals are mistreated. I'd recite a couple lines, but no. It's a little too gross for me at this post-breakfast time.
However, I'd greatly encourage the reading of Chuck Palahniuk's work. He's most famous for writing Fight Club (and apparently Choke, which I've never heard of), though that's my least favourite novel of his. But his writing is fantastically addictive, and the stories are complicated twisted up tales, and you only ever get the beginning after reading the ending.
So perhaps next time you find yourself in a library, do a quick search for one of his books, and take it out for a test-drive.
I think you, whoever you are, will enjoy.

Procrastination Nation.

It has been too long, miscellaneous and few readers of this forgotten blog.
It has been much too long.
Perhaps the only reason I've remembered this poor little link is because my dearest dear friend just popped on it to let me know that she's back on track with the blogging thing.
Perhaps I've just been avoiding this thingamajigger?
Well whatever the case, I think I may stick up a link to my friend's blog, because she is just gorgeous. I do not know what good it'll do her in the way of traffic (actually I do; zip), but it is the thought that counts, n'est ce pas? She's a beaut.
Well I looked at my last post and realized that it was a bitch about summatives. Oh my, has it really been that long? Because it is summative time again here in Ottawa. Second semester is a little kinder this time around, but wait, no that's a lie.
I have a monstrous Geo summative to finish by monday, and I will have absolutely zero time on the weekend to work on it. FML.
Oh I am just going crazy with the links today, aren't I?
Well I'd best be going to try to get some work done so I don't completely flunk Geo, but it was nice seeing you again blog, and the best to you.

Workworkwork. ):

Well I know this is months from my last post, but, as I said, this will be a very inconsistent blog. But it's come to that time of year; summatives and exams. Which means two solid weeks of procrastination, hard-core late-night work, and cramming. Lots of cramming.
'What is a summative?' some ask, as nearly all my friends from different schools seem oblivious to the term. Lucky bastards. Summatives are projects/assignments for the end of the term, and are a HUGE deal, seeing as they count from 10 to 30 percent of a students final grade.
An example? My english summative from hell. Writing up a whole newspaper? Not a big deal in the long run, but try to fit all that work into less than a week? Impossible. And it's completely my fault. Actually, right now I should be writing up one of my articles, or finding pictures for my newspaper, or coming up with ads for it.
This is why I fail.
